Working in a person-centred way

Course Description:
This course is an essential tool for those working in the health and social care sector to gain an understanding of person-centred care. It provides delegates with the essential knowledge and understanding of working in a person-centred way and ensuring the wishes, choices, preferences, likes and dislikes are considered when supporting the needs of clients.
Course outline:
- Understand the principles of person-centred care
- Understand the legal requirements of working in a person-centred way
- Know how to involve the individual in the planning and delivery of their care
- Understand the importance of individuals leading their lives
Course Duration:
3 hours/ half a day
Assessment:
The trainer will carry out ongoing assessment. Learners will be expected to participate in class activities, group discussions and question and answers session.
Certificate:
All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
